Prepare healing before entering the nest
Before fighting Emberville's Spider Matriarch, cook healing food at the nearby campfire, put food and potions on your consumable toolbar, and equip your strongest usable weapon and defensive gear. A bow is a useful opening option if you want to keep away from her close-range attacks.
Your preparation also needs to leave you comfortable moving around the arena. The Matriarch fires entangling webs, charges and attacks up close, while smaller spiders can crowd the fight. Healing supplies help you recover, but destroying her spider sacs matters too because she can regenerate health at them.
Cook, equip and check your boss loadout

Cook your available ingredients at the nearby campfire before entering the arena. Roasted Meat is a healing-food option for this preparation, so turn ingredients you can use into food for the fight. Choose from the recipes the station currently offers rather than leaving useful ingredients untouched in your inventory.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Collect your finished food before heading to the nest. Cooking can continue after you close the crafting menu, so leaving the station does not mean you have already taken its output. Check what has finished and collect it; the food needs to be with you when the fight starts.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Put your healing food and potions on the belt and check their shortcuts. Health recovery items can also be used directly from your inventory, but the belt keeps your selected healing ready to use. Make sure the consumable you intend to use is assigned before walking into the arena.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Equip the strongest weapon you can currently use, checking its details before committing to it. A bow gives you an opening option that avoids immediately standing within close-range attacks. Pick the weapon whose attacks you can manage while moving around the boss, rather than changing equipment solely because its name sounds impressive.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- Compare your defensive equipment with its effect on mobility. Heavier armor offers more protection but adds weight and reduces movement speed, so the most protective piece can make repositioning harder. Choose a combination that protects you while still feeling manageable when you need to move away from the Matriarch.

Allocate any available stat points through the character panel opened with C. Stamina increases health and defense, making it an option to consider if surviving the encounter is your immediate problem. Read the stat tooltips before spending points so the change supports the equipment you actually plan to use.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Activate Swift Foot if you have already learned it and want more movement speed. Its active effect improves movement, giving you a mobility option for circling and repositioning. Treat it as a useful addition to your preparation rather than a reason to postpone using the healing and gear already available.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Handle webs, charges and smaller spiders
- Move around the Matriarch's webs and charge path instead of standing in front of her trading hits. Her webs can entangle you, and she also attacks at close range. Keep repositioning so your next attack comes from a position you can leave safely.

Keep bow volleys short enough to return to moving. Repeated shots can leave you committed to attack animations when you want to dash, so stop adding attacks as the Matriarch approaches. Use openings you can comfortably leave rather than continually firing through incoming danger.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Clear smaller spiders when they crowd your movement or block your attacks on the Matriarch. They can get between you and the boss, making a direct shot harder to land. Removing that obstruction gives you room to resume attacking her without simply firing into the crowd.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- Destroy the spider sacs so the Matriarch cannot use them to regenerate health. Return your damage to the boss after dealing with the sacs and nearby spiderlings. Continue dodging and using your prepared healing as needed rather than abandoning movement to finish a long attack sequence.

Demo fixes that matter for this attempt
Demo Alpha 0.20.18.x removed a boss corpse collider as a temporary fix for getting stuck in the boss nest. The same patch fixed collecting crafted items with the action button, along with controller shoulder-button and menu-navigation problems. Update the demo before retrying if those issues interrupt your preparation or departure.
Do not depend on Palm Strike stunning every time. Alpha Demo 0.20.17.x fixed that bug and corrected death XP penalty calculations, while Demo Alpha 0.20.18.x fixed attack-rate calculation issues. Plan around your current controls, healing and movement instead of relying on a guaranteed stun.
