Keep class progression separate from mastery
Weapon mastery, armor mastery, character level, and class level develop along separate tracks. Using a weapon develops that weapon's mastery, while the armor you wear develops the corresponding armor proficiency. Your active combat class also has its own level and skill points.
Wanderer has no listed prerequisites in the Prologue class overview. Its discovery still needs to be followed by activation in the class menu. For another class, check its own requirements before deciding which equipment or class to develop next.
Meet another class's listed requirements
Classes can be found through exploration, quests, and secrets, and some also require progress in particular masteries or another class. Inspect the locked class's listed prerequisites to see what it needs. Discovering Wanderer does not automatically open the rest of the class menu.
| Requirement | How to work toward it |

Learn and use Wanderer's skills
The class skill tree contains active and passive abilities, and its skill points belong to that class. Focus Strike and Swift Foot are early Wanderer options with different uses. Choose between a forward attack and extra movement according to what you want from the class.

Switch classes, reset skills, and inherit abilities
You can switch between discovered classes through the class menu without committing permanently to Wanderer. Each class levels independently, and only the currently active class gains class experience through combat. Keep the class you want to develop active when you return to fighting.
Changing classes and resetting skill points are separate options. Class skill points can be reset after you unlock the ability to do so. Being able to swap classes does not mean the skill-reset capability is already available.
Skill inheritance lets you carry eligible abilities between classes once the necessary inheritance slot is unlocked. Swift Foot is an example of a Wanderer skill that can be brought into another class. An inherited skill must be available and active in its original class before you can select it.
Continue your public demo character into Early Access
Progress from the public Steam Next Fest Demo carries into Early Access on October 27, 2026, so you can continue your adventure from where you left off. Saves from the creator and press-preview version do not carry over.
If controller navigation makes the menus awkward, update the demo before continuing. Demo Alpha 0.20.18.x fixes shoulder-button problems in some menus and other controller navigation issues.
