From awakening to the town exit
Emberville's Prologue leads from awakening in the Vitromotus through a scripted death and resurrection, tunnel exploration and the Spider Matriarch fight. Defeat the boss, collect the Spider Key, open the main gate into the inner prison, then free Tinetia and follow her to the waypoint that takes you to Emberville.
Find the sphere and unlock Wanderer
- Open the starting room's door to begin exploring the opening building. You begin without a weapon, but your punches and kicks can break furniture and other objects for resources. Searching these rooms is a useful introduction to looting before you head farther into the tunnels.

Ask the rescued scholar about the strange orb to identify it as the Mind's Journal. He explains that the device preserves a person's experiences and may teach you fighting techniques. This conversation gives you a practical next step if the sphere has been sitting unused in your inventory.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Use the Mind's Journal from your inventory to access its martial arts records. This interaction leads into the class introduction. It is separate from checking your quest journal, so return to the inventory item if your objective still directs you to use the orb.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Optional supplies to check before the spider
- Search optional chests and branching side paths for equipment and supplies. These detours can reconnect with the main route, so exploring them can improve your preparation without changing the escape objective. Try weapons you find rather than treating any particular drop as required for the Spider Matriarch.

Hold the interaction key at a gathering node to harvest it and collect its drops. Mineral veins demonstrate this interaction, while plants and wood are also available as gathering materials. Gathering is optional preparation; obtaining the Spider Key is what advances the escape route.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Check bag and belt upgrades before leaving useful supplies behind. A suitable bag improvement expands carrying capacity, while a belt improvement expands your consumable capacity. Putting healing items on your belt makes them available through its shortcuts during the remaining encounters.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Use a campfire's cooking menu to prepare food from the ingredients you have collected. Crafting can continue after you close the menu, so a queued icon does not mean the food is already ready. Collect the finished food before moving on; the updated demo supports collecting crafted items with the action button.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- Compare armor protection with its weight before changing your equipment. Heavier armor can improve protection while reducing movement speed. For a route that still includes the spider encounter, choose a balance that lets you reposition comfortably rather than judging a piece solely by its protection.

Recycle spare equipment at a recycling station to recover crafting materials. Bulk recycling options are available, so keeping anything you still want to test is sensible before confirming a category. This is a useful inventory stop, but crafting a particular replacement is not a requirement for obtaining the Spider Key.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Take the Spider Key and leave the prison
- Defeat the Spider Matriarch to reach the key needed for the prison exit. Moving around the boss and striking during openings is a workable approach, including with fists and kicks. The victory advances the escape route, but the playable Prologue continues beyond this fight.
- Use the Spider Key on the main gate to enter the inner prison. This is the progression gate that connects the spider victory with the route to Tinetia's cell.
- Navigate past the inner prison's floor spikes and guards to reach the imprisoned Bone Lady. Treat this stretch as part of the escape route, with Tinetia's cell as your next destination.
Your demo save and what comes next
Keep the demo updated before following older gameplay advice. The demo patches fix death XP penalty calculations, attack-rate calculations, controller navigation and collecting crafted items with the action button. Palm Strike's guaranteed-stun bug was also fixed, so a guaranteed stun is not something to build your route around.
Early Access begins with the first major biome and more progression beyond the demo. That biome's final boss is planned for an update within the first month after launch. Expansion to nine biomes and the addition of co-op belong to future development, rather than the Prologue escape you are completing here.
